“Haven’t I commanded you: be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 18, 2009

Well, I know I’m looking forward to getting everyone back into worship again. I’ve missed you all. This week the Choir will be singing “We Cry Holy” in both services. We sang this song shortly before the Christmas season began, so everyone will know it. Since this is a familiar song everyone will be able to sing with us, whether they were at rehearsal or not. So feel free to come and sing. We will meet in the Choir room at 8:00 am for the early service and again at 10:45 for the second service.

Evan Aldridge will sing the vocal praise in both services.

Mable Brown will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.

Kathy Perry will play the piano and Jean Luken will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.

The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service. Sharon Doyle, Nancy Logan, Kathy Perry and Bradley Perry will be the singers this morning.

Choir rehearsal will be at 6:00 pm.

Praise Team rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm with Linda Magruder, Christie Jones, Rick Matthiesen, and Bradley Perry in attendance.

THE FUTURE

As most of you have probably heard by now, I will be leaving at the end of the month. I have known since last October that I would be leaving. Scott and I just thought that it would be best to get through the holidays before making an announcement. This is the hardest decision that I have ever made. I will be going into music evangelism, doing concerts and revivals. This is something that I’ve always had a dream to do, but I’ve always been to afraid to try. It is however what God wants me to do. I don’t understand why now, but I must follow His call. He has been hard at work preparing me for this ministry for the last 20 years. Even though I don’t have all the answers to how, I know he will give me what I need when I need it. January 25 will be my last Sunday here. I would appreciate your prayers of support, and know that you all have mine also. We are all in good hands, though the past might have been good, the best is yet to come.

SPECIAL CONCERT

Evan Aldridge will be presenting a special concert on Sunday evening January 25 at 6:00 pm. Some of you may have heard of this guy. This will be the official kick-off for this new ministry endeavor. I hope all of you will attend.
