MUSIC FOR SUNDAY OCTOBER 19, 2008
Thanks to all of those who sang with us Sunday morning, the Lord’s presence was evident in the way you sang. This Sunday we will be singing “We’re Here To Worship” in both services. Please remember to pray about your involvement and participation level. I know that most of you are really doing all you can do, but maybe there are some who could increase their involvement, or maybe some who have gone inactive could become active. We could really use more involvement especially in the early service. Please seek God’s guidance and will for your life regarding this matter. If at all possible please sing in both services this Sunday. We meet in the Choir room at 8:00 am for the 8:15 service, and again at 10:3o for the 10:45 service. Thank you for prayers, consideration and participation.
Jack Sohn will sing the Vocal Praise in both services this week.
Jean Lueken will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service. The Singers will be Cindy Muschany, Evette Eickelmann, Rick Matthiesen, and Bradley Perry.
Choir Rehearsal will be at 5:30 pm
Praise Team Rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm with Sharon Doyle, Nancy Logan, Kathy Perry and Bradley Perry in attendance.
CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATION
Preparations are well underway for our annual Christmas Eve Celebration, but it’s not to late for people to join us. We have around 40 now who have joined us. Our goal is 50. Just 10 more people and we will reach our goal. I know we can do it. Even if you’ve decided that you aren’t going to sing, you can always change your mind, and if you are singing, first of all thank you, and second of all ask one person if they will sing with us. If all 40 people who are participating would ask one person to come sing with us, we would probably exceed our goal of 50 people. Thanks in advance for your extra effort.
CHOIR FUND
We are still collecting money for the Choir Ministry Fund. We collected enough to pay the bill last Sunday, now we just need to boost the funds a little bit so when other needs come up we will be prepared. Your generosity in the past has sent flowers and plants and provided food and comfort for many of our members who were grieving, or in the hospital. It has also helped others to celebrate special occasions, like the birth of a child etc… Your gift has also helped sponsor a child for world vision as well as help to send teens on the mission trip. It doesn’t always take a lot to do a lot, just a willing spirit. Your gift of any amount, even if it’s just spare change that you have rattling around in your purses or pockets can make a huge difference.
