MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, AUGUST 3, 2008
This week the Choir will be singing “Don’t You Wanna Go?” in both services. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 for the early service and again at 10:30 for the second service. Thank you in advance for Your attendance.
Linda Magruder will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano in the 8:15 service.
Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in both services.
Kathy Perry will play the piano in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service only. The singers will be Sharon D., Nancy Logan, Kathy Perry, and Bradley Perry.
Choir Rehearsal will be at 6:00 pm
Praise Team will be at 7:00 pm with Linda M., Christy J., Rick M., and Bradley P. in attendance.
CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST
This years Christmas in August party will be on Friday, August 22 and 6:30 pm. This is the time when we preview this years Christmas program, and fellowship together one last time before all the activity of the fall gets going again. This years program is called “Noel, Night of Everlasting Love”. It is a more traditional program with many of the familiar Christmas songs in it that we all grew up singing, and that will really highlight the choir. Song titles are; Shout for Joy, O Come, All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, O Holy Night!, Angels from the Realms of Glory, Rejoice with Exceeding Great Joy, March of the Kings, We Three Kings, The First Noel, What Child is This?, Do You Hear What I Hear?, Silent Night! Holy Night!, Joy to the World!, and the Hallelujah Chorus. I think everyone will enjoy participating in this program. We are also going to open it up to all Past, Present and Future Choir members, because it it the 15th anniversary of us doing the Cantata on Christmas Eve so we will make a huge deal out of it. If we have over 50 people we will not wear choir robes, so get out there and help me recruit. I already have a cool set up in mind for the Choir loft that will leave a section for people who have physical limitations, to sit, and the best part is it will look like that they are supposed to be sitting, so nobody will have to feel uncomfortable. This is going to be so fun! I can’t wait!
