“For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness” (2nd Peter 1:3)
QUESTION OF THE WEEK
Is worshipping a lifestyle or a once a week activity?
DON’T FORGET MAKE-UP CHOIR REHEARSAL TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY MAY 28 AT 6:00 PM
MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 2008
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, you led us in worship fantastically this past Sunday. “Calvary’s Love” is an older song, but it has a beautiful melody and a powerful message that is so relevant for today. Thanks to everyone who came out on this holiday weekend, it helped to make our time of worship special. This Sunday we will be singing “Don’t You Wanna Go” in both services. As you know summer is a hard time for the Choir, so if you can possibly sing in both services that would help a lot, but also remember that if you are in town and in church, that you are welcome to come to choir even if you have missed a few rehearsals. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the early service and again by 10:30 am for the second service. As always, I am so grateful for you time and commitment.
Evan Aldridge will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in both services.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service, but since four out of the four people scheduled to sing are out of town on the mission trip, and we aren’t rehearsing anyway, I will select the singers from the praise team members that are here Sunday Morning.
Solo Assignments for the Patriotic Service will be between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. If you can’t be here at this time let me know so I can get a time scheduled that is convenient for you.
Choir rehearsal will be at 6:00 pm.
Praise Team rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm with Sharon Doyle, Nancy Logan, Rick Matthiesen in attendance.
SOLO ASSIGNMENTS
Solo assignments for the Patriotic services will be held from 5:00 to 6:00Â pm this Sunday, June 1 in the Choir room. If you are interested in singing the solo on “Break Our Hearts”, God Bless America, or in singing the Christian Patriotic solo of your choice. Just come during this time and I will listen to you. If this time isn’t good for you just let me know and I will schedule a different time to listen to you.
PATRIOTIC PROGRAM
It’s still not to late for you to be involved in the Patriotic Program. Rehearsals are Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm. This year the program is set up more like a Worship service with a lot of music in it. We will be celebrating our country, honoring our veterans and their families, as well as praying for our country. I hope you will prayerfully consider participating in this program. You are needed and wanted.

“For this very reason , make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (2nd Peter 1:5-8)
