BIG MUSIC SUNDAY
You all did a great job last Sunday on our BIG MUSIC SUNDAY. I would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make this service special. The next BIG MUSIC SUNDAY will be on Fathers Day, June 15. Please mark that date on your calendar and plan to attend and sing in both services on that Day. There will be one additional BIG MUSIC SUNDAY June 29 when we present our Patriotic Program.

MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, MAY 18
Great Job last Sunday on “You Call Me Yours”. This week we will be singing the “I Sing Praises Medley” in both services. Please be in the choir room by 8:00 am for the 8:15 service and at 10:30 am for the 10:45 service. Thanks for all you do to make our times of worship special. Please take note that this Sunday we are back on our regular schedule with Choir at 6:00 pm and Praise Team at 7:00.
Craig Tanner will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play the piano and Jean Lueken will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service. The singers will be : Linda Magruder, Christy Jones, Kathy and Bradley Perry.
Choir rehearsal will be at 6:00 pm
Praise Team rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm with Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Rick Matthiesen and Bradley Perry in attendance.
PATRIOTIC PROGRAM
Work has begun on our Patriotic Program. We began rehearsal last Wednesday and will continue working tomorrow at our Make-up Choir rehearsal at 6:00 pm. In the program there will be three solo opportunities. The first one will be on the song “Break Our Hearts”, the second one will be on “God Bless America”. The Third will be a stand alone solo where whoever sings it picks the Christian Patriotic song of there Choice and sings it by themselves. Rehearsals will be on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm unless we cancel a rehearsal. If we cancel a rehearsal we will hold a make-up rehearsal on the following Wednesday at 6:00 pm. This program will be presented on Sunday, June 29 at 8:15 and 10:45 am. We will wear Red, White, or Navy Blue. Anyone of those colors or any combination of those colors will be fine. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this program.
HOUSE KEEPING
I really appreciate when people want to take their music home to work on, but many times not meaning to, we forget to bring it back. Then when you get to rehearsal you pick up another copy and then forget completely about the other copy at home. So I’m asking everyone to check around your house to see if you may have any music laying around that might belong to the Church. If you do just return it, no big deal. All of the churches music will be stamped with the slogan “Swiped from the Music Ministry of Temple Baptist Church” on it. Also, I have cleaned out all the slots and the folders. If you had any keep sakes or anything in your folders, I’m sorry, it won’t be there anymore. In the future if there is something that you want to keep, don’t put it in your folders. From time to time I have to go through them to take out trash, get old music, check to make sure they are not falling apart, clean them etc… If at that time there is anything in them besides the music we are singing it will be taken out and disposed of. Having extra items in the folders causes excess ware and tare, and makes them heavier and harder to hold. Please take care of your folders, by making sure that you don’t over fill them with anything except the music that we give you.
HELP WANTED
If you know of anyone who would like to be a member of the Music Ministry, but doesn’t want to sing, then I have the job for them. We are currently in need of a new “Music Ministry Assistant”. This is a volunteer position that would require, role taking, filing music, sending out we missed you cards, managing the music fund etc… The hours would be during every choir rehearsal, usually Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:00, but through the year we have extra rehearsals and make-up rehearsals that they would need to be at. Let me know if you know of someone and I will contact them.
MAY MUSIC SCHEDULE
Wednesday, May 14- Make-up Choir rehearsal. There will be no Praise Team rehearsal this week, but Linda Magruder, Christy Jones, Kathy and Bradley Perry will still sing on May 18 without rehearsing.
Sunday, May 18- Choir Rehearsal 6:00 pm, Praise Team Rehearsal at 7:00 pm with Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Rick Matthiesen, and Bradley Perry in attendance.
Sunday, May 25- Memorial Day weekend, No Rehearsals, a make-up choir rehearsal has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 28 at 6:00 pm.
Wednesday, May 28- Make-up Choir rehearsal 6:00 pm. There will be no Praise Team Rehearsal this Week, But Cindy Muschany, Evette Eickelmann, Kathy Perry, and Bradley Perry will still sing on June 1 without rehearsing.
