MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, MAY 4, 2008

Great Job last Sunday on “You Are Holy”. The way you’ve been leading in worship has just been phenomenal, proof that when we submit to the Lord and His leadership, we can do things that we would not be able to do otherwise. With God all things are possible. This week we will be singing “Coming Back to Life” from the Easter program. As always, if you know the song come and sing with us if you can we would love to have you. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the 1st service and again at 10:30 for the second. I really do appreciate your ministry.

Mable Brown will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.

Mable Brown will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.

Kathy Perry will play the piano and Jean Lueken will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.

The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service. The singers will be Sharon D., Nancy L., Kathy P., and Bradley P.

SCHEDULE CHANGE

On Sunday evening May 4, 2008 at 6:00 pm Norm Howell from the Missouri Baptist Convention will be here to talk about Partnership Missions in Haiti. We will cancel rehearsals on that evening so that you all can attend that service. Due to this cancellation we will have a make-up rehearsal on Wednesday, May 7 at 6:00 pm. The Praise Team will not get to rehearse this week but Cindy M., Evette E., Rick M., and Bradley P. will still sing on Sunday Morning May 11 (Mother’s Day) without rehearsing. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and being willing to adjust your schedule to accommodate this special guest.

BIG MUSIC SUNDAYS

This summer we have 3 BIG MUSIC SUNDAYS. Just in case you don’t remember a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY is when we all attend both services and sing in the Choir to help make the services more special. The first is one Mother’s Day, May 11, the second is on Father’s Day, June 15, and the third is on June 29 when we present our Patriotic Program. There will also be no rehearsals on these evenings. Please mark these dates on your calendar and plan to be here for both services on those day. On these days Everyone will meet in the Choir room at 8:00 am. On both Mother’s Day and Father’s Day we will dismiss from the Choir Loft in both services immediately after we sing the Choral Praise, so that you can sit with your families on these special family days. Thanks in advance for the extra time.

PATRIOTIC PRESENTATION

This years Patriotic Presentation will be on June 29, 2008 at 8:15 am and 10:45 am. I have spent the last couple of weeks finding music and all day yesterday putting the program together. This year it will be more like a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY, It will be a time that we celebrate our country, honor the Veterans and the ones that have been Lost to war, pray for our country, and most importantly honor the God who preserves and keeps this Nation great. I hope you will all plan on participating in these services. We have scheduled it the Sunday before July 4 so as not to interfere with your family time or travel plans. We will begin working on this program at our Make-up Choir rehearsal on Wednesday, May 7 and continue right up until June 29. Normally rehearsals will be on Sunday evenings at 6:00 pm, and I don’t believe we will need to have any extra rehearsals.
