MUSIC FOR FEBRUARY 3, 2008
Great Job last Sunday on “Glorious”. We had small groups again, but I can’t even number the people on both hands who were out sick. Those that were able to be hear did a great job. If you had to miss, we hope that you can be with us this coming Sunday. We will be singing “Hallelujah to You” from the Christmas program. Since so many people are out sick we are asking that if you know the song, come sing with us whether or not you can attend the rehearsal. We really need your help. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the early service and by 10:30 am for the late service. Thanks to Pam Hagan for playing the piano last minute due to Virgie’s illness, and to Nancy Logan for being the last minute fill in for the praise team due to Evette Eickelmann’s illness. The sad thing is that Evette was a substitute for Christy Jones, so Nancy was the substitutes, substitute.
Jack Sohn will be singing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Jean Lueken will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise team will sing in the 10:45 service. The singers will be Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Kathy and Bradley Perry.
Solo assignments will begin at 5:00 pm
Choir rehearsal will begin at 5:30 pm
Praise Team rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm with Cindy Muschany, Evette Eickelmann, Rick Matthiesen, and Bradley Perry in attendance.
EASTER CELEBRATION SOLO ASSIGNMENTS
I will be making solo assignments for the Easter program this Sunday evening February 3, from 5:00-5:30, and again on Wednesday evening February 6, from 5:30-6:00. If you are interested in singing any of the solo’s from the program please be here during one of these times. If you can’t make it at either one of these times just let me know and we can schedule a time that works for you. I have assigned part of the songs so you only have to learn the whole song if you are actually assigned a solo. The assignment portion of the songs are as follows:

Coming Back to Life- Pg. 83-88
Rehearsal C.D.’s are available in the Choir room for pick-up at your convenience. The Easter program is on Easter Sunday, March 23 at 8:00 am and 10:45 am.
BONUS REHEARSALS
Bonus rehearsals begin this Sunday, February 6. We will begin Sunday Evening Choir rehearsals at 5:30 pm and add Wednesday rehearsals back to the schedule. Wednesday rehearsals begin February 6 at 6:00 pm. We will begin with the Easter program on Sunday evenings, and work on our regular Sunday music last. Again we are asking everyone that is singing to stay with throughout the remainder of the rehearsal and help us out with the Sunday music and to sing with us on Sunday mornings if at all possible. If this isn’t possible feel free to sing with us anyway, we will take you however we can get you. Wednesday evening rehearsals will be dedicated completely to the Easter Music. These rehearsals are great because they allow everyone to attend a rehearsal at least once a week. If you have to miss Sunday you can come on Wednesday etc… Take advantage of as many of these rehearsals a possible.

“CLOSER” IN CONCERT
The group “Closer” from Missouri Baptist University will be here in Concert at 6:00 pm on February 10. We will cancel all rehearsals that evening so you can just enjoy the concert. “Closer” is the Men’s Gospel Quartet from the University. Our own Justin Falloon is a part of this group, invite your friends, family, acquaintances, co-workers etc… and come enjoy this night of Gospel music.
