“I will sing of faithful love and justice; I will sing praise to You, Lord. I will pay attention to the way of integrity. When will you come to me? I will live with integrity of heart in my house. I will not set anything godless before my eyes. I hate the doing of transgression; it will not cling to me. A devious heart will be far from me; I will not be involved with evil.” (Psalm 101:1-4)

QUESTION OF THE WEEK

How can I share the love of Christ on daily basis with those around me? (ex. at work, at home, at church, meetings, wherever we go)

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please pray for the following people, they are experiencing various health issues: Mable Brown, Laverna Keeney (Sonja Moore’s Mother), Kalyn Center, Virgie McGill (bad cold), Joyce Baldwin, George Scantlan. There are probably many issues with other people that we don’t know about also so just throw in a prayer for everyone. The bible says in the book of James chapter 5:13-16- ” Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

MUSIC FOR JANUARY 27, 2008

Last Sundays time of worship was absolutely wonderful. Although we did not have a great turn out for Choir, which really surprised me, because it was supposed to be a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY and I requested that everyone sing at both services if at all possible. Anyway, it was great, the few that were here sang there hearts out and just did a fantastic job, I’m sorry that the rest of you had to miss the power of the Holy spirit working through us. This Sunday we will be singing the song “Glorious” from the Christmas program in both services. Please be in the Choir room at 8:00 am for the early service and again at 10:30 am for the late service. I hope you will all be here, if not you will miss out on an opportunity to serve the Lord, and help lead his people into the most important encounter they will have all week, you will also miss out on the most important encounter you will have all week, and that encounter is coming into the presence of the Living God. Don’t miss it, be here.

Bradley Perry will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.

Virgie McGill will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.

Jean Lueken will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.

The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service only. The singers will be Linda Magruder, Evette Eickelmann, and Bradley Perry.

There will be no rehearsals this evening due to the licensing service for Kevin Crowder. A make-up rehearsal is scheduled for the following Wednesday, January 30th at 6:00 pm. Praise Team will not rehearse this week, but Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Kathy and Bradley Perry will still sing in the 10:45 service without rehearsing on February 3.

EASTER PROGRAM

Come sing in the Easter program, just attend two rehearsals a month starting now in February and you’re in. We will begin our rehearsals in the Choir room on Sunday evenings at 5:30 pm. This year we are asking all participants in the program to stay through the whole rehearsal and sing with us on Sunday mornings if at all possible. If that isn’t possible it’s okay, you go ahead and come sing with us. We will rehearse the Easter program first.

BONUS REHEARSALS

We are adding bonus rehearsals beginning in February to help you learn the Easter program. On Sunday evening February 3 we will start our rehearsals at 5:30 pm. Wednesday rehearsals will begin at 6:00 pm on February 6. These rehearsals are for your benefit, to help you learn the Easter music better and to help us present our best effort to the Lord on Easter Sunday, I hope you will take full advantage of these rehearsals.

REMINDER

Just wanted to remind you when you see the words BIG MUSIC SUNDAY, that means all choir members are to make every effort to attend choir and to sing in both services on whatever date that the BIG MUSIC SUNDAY is on. Please remember this, because last Sunday was a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY, and not very many people attended. I was disappointed in the turn out, but God blessed those of us that were here in a powerful way. When you are not here whether it’s a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY or not, you miss out and we all miss out. Don’t miss out anymore. Yes I know I’m nagging.

“Do not be agitated by evildoers; do not envy those who do wrong. for they wither quickly like grass and wilt like tender green plants. Trust in the Lord and do what is good; dwell in the land and live securely. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires.”
