MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2007
Thanks for singing “It’s a Grand and Glorious Feeling” so wonderfully in both services. This week the Choir will be singing “I Will Arise” in both services. This is a difficult song so we need to have a good group to sing in both services. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the early service and again by 10:30 am for the second service. As always your commitment and dedication are much appreciated.
Glen Carter will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Kathy Perry will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service. The singers will be Linda Magruder, Erica Turilli, Kathy and Bradley Perry.
Solo Assignments will be from 4:30-5:30
Choir Rehearsal will be from 5:30-6:00
Praise Team rehearsal will be from 7:00-8:00
WEDNESDAY REHEARSALS BEGIN
Wednesday rehearsals begin this Wednesday, tomorrow November 7. This rehearsal is in addition to our elongated Sunday evening rehearsal and will begin at 6:00 pm each Wednesday except for the 14th when we are doing the solo assignments. Wednesday rehearsals will be dedicated solely to the rehearsal of the Christmas program.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM SOLO ASSIGNMENTS
Assignments for Solos for this years Christmas program will be given on Sunday afternoon November 11 (this Sunday) from 4:30 to 5:30, and again on Wednesday November 14 from 6:00-7:00. If you are interested in singing a solo or being in the Christmas praise Team you will need to sign up for a time slot in the choir room for the evening of your choice. If you can’t come either one of these times then you can call me to schedule a time that you could come in. This is not a competition! I just want to give everyone who maybe interested in a solo an opportunity for their voice to be heard on the solo of their choice. You just need to sing the first 2 or 3 pages of the solo that you are interested in. If you are assigned a solo you will need to of course learn the whole song and memorize it. I’m looking forward to hearing everyone sing.
CHRISTMAS EVE CELEBRATION DRESS REHEARSAL SCHEDULED
The Christmas Eve Celebration dress rehearsal is scheduled for Sunday evening December 23 at 5:30 pm. The program will be on Monday evening December 24 (Christmas Eve) at 5:00 and 7:00 pm. There will be a light supper for program participants and their family members at 6:00 pm.
