“Keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured the cross and despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne.” (Hebrews 12:2)
DON’T FORGET DRESS REHEARSAL TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY) APRIL 4, 2007 AT 6:30 P.M.
MUSIC FOR APRIL 8, 2007
Easter is here! The moment we have been preparing for is upon us. I was so encouraged by our rehearsal last Sunday evening. You were singing with great power and strength. I am so thankful to each one of you for taking the time out of your schedule to be a part of this special event. This event is special because it is an opportunity to share the gospel with our church family and community. It is special because we will be leading our congregation to God’s throne in Worship. Begin preparing your hearts and minds for the task at hand. Ask God to cleanse you and to work through you and to use you to accomplish his purposes in this place, pray for the people who will be here, that God will open their hearts to hear his message, and pray that he will give us a spirit of unity and harmony and do a work that is so much greater than anything we could accomplish on our own, that everyone present will have to give him the glory. We will present the Easter program twice once at 8:00 a.m. and again at 10:45 a.m. Please be in the Choir room by 7:30 a.m. and again at 10:30 a.m. If you haven’t figured it out, you do need to sing in both services. As always the contribution of your time and your talents is much appreciated. I am looking forward to a wonderful time of worship.Â
CHOIR SCHEDULE
There will be no rehearsals on Easter Sunday evening, and no Choir or praise team in the service or rehearsal on April 15. Though we will not sit in the Choir loft on the 22 we will resume our rehearsal schedule that evening at 6:00 pm for Choir and 7:00 pm for Praise Team. The Praise Team singers who need to attend that rehearsal will be Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Kathy and Bradley Perry. No more Wednesday rehearsals for a while. I hope that you all enjoy your much deserved break, but I hope you enjoy serving the Lord even more.
WHAT NEXT?
Have you been wondering what happens after Easter? Well, I have the answer. We will begin work on our Patriotic Program that I have entitled “Our Heritage of Faith”. In this program we will celebrate our country, honor our veterans and explore and celebrate the rich heritage of faith that our country was founded on. We will present this program in both services on July 1. I hope that you will begin to make plans to be a part of this program.
“Praise be to the Lord forever! Amen and Amen.” (Psalm 89:52)
