“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galations 6:9)

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT

The above verse is meant to encourage you as we live out our calling together. Your ministry in the choir is so important, because we as choir we help to lead our congregation into the most important encounter of their week, month or year. We have the responsibility as a Music/Worship Ministry to help usher God’s people into the thrown room of Almighty God Himself. There is know greater more important task than this. Having this knowledge sometimes can make us weary, because sometimes we don’t feel like we do this job very well, or that we are not making a difference, or that we aren’t even worthy, but God uses ordinary people to accomplish his puporses here on Earth. The task is great, and everything that we do as a ministry has that goal in mind. Whether we are singing in the Worship hour on Sunday, or doing a big musical presentation, our goal, our aim, our desire is to lead God’s people into his manifest presence. So don’t grow weary, keep up the good fight. Although we don’t always see how lives are changed as a result of our faithfulness to our calling, one day we will reap, we will see and know the results of our efforts, so don’t lose heart.

I really want everyone to participate in this concert, so please be there, even if you have to come late. This Charity was started by our own Glen Carter, and proceeds from this event will go to meet needs of children in the Sullivan, Spring Bluff, and Strain/Japan School Districts. At this concert you will not only sing great Gospel Music, you will hear it as well. The special guests in addition to the combined choir will be  the “Palmer Family”, the “New Horizons, as well as Glen Carter’s group “Final Authority”. The Temple Baptist Church Ladies Trio will also be singing, and your Worship Pastor Evan Aldridge will be singing as well.
