MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 4, 2007
We did the best job that we could have done this past Sunday on “Marching to Zion” considering the low turn out for Choir that we had and the level of difficulty of the piece, but you sang it as though we were really marching Zion. The power that you sang with on the last note was phenomenal. You marched us right into the presence of almighty God, thank you for your effort. This Sunday we will be singing the song “I Believe it All” in both services. I hope you will all be here to sing. We will meet as always in the Choir room at 8:00 am for the early service and again at 10:30 for the second service. I look forward to worshipping with you next Sunday.
Kalyn Center will sing the vocal praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play piano and Jean Lueken will play keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service. The Praise Team singers will be Linda Magruder, Evette Eickelmann, Don Smith and Bradley Perry.
Choir Rehearsal will be at 5:30 pm.
Praise Team Rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm. The singers who need to attend are Sharon Doyle, Nancy Logan, Kathy Perry and Bradley Perry.
Choir will also be on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm through Easter.
A GENTLE REMINDER
Just want to remind you that we have 5 more weeks until Easter. Your presence at as many rehearsals as possible from hear on out is important and necessary. From this point on your level of participation will be indicative of the quality of program that we present. We want to present a program that is the best that we can do. Why? Because it is for God. Thank you for the time you have already put in on the program, and for the time that you are going to put in from now until Easter.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
The Whatever It Takes fundraiser headed up by our own Glenn Carter to help raise money for needy children in the Sullivan, Spring Bluff and Stain/Japan School Districts will be on Saturday March 24. Our choir will be participating in the community wide choir. We will need to be at the Sullivan Performing Art’s Theater at 4:00 pm for the rehearsal. Glenn Carter’s group “Final Authority” will be singing as well as myself and other groups and individuals from the area. It will be a great time of worship and a wonderful way to reach out to children in our area with God’s love.
EXTRA CHOIR REHEARSALS
Mark your calendars with the extra rehearsals that we will be having between now and Easter.
Sunday rehearsals: March 11, 18, 25, and April 1 at 5:30 pm.
Wednesday rehearsals: March 7, 14, 21, 28 at 6:00 pm.
Dress Rehearsal: April 4, 6:30 pm
Easter Program: April 8 at 8:00 am, Breakfast at 9:00 am, second program at 10:45 am.
