“…Don’t Be Afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord’s salvation, He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.” (Exodus 14:13-14)

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT

I read the above verses today in my quiet time and found it very encouraging, so I thought that I would share it with you. In this passage, Moses was speaking to the Israelites while the Egyptians were hot on their heals, right before the parting of the red sea. It is important as we read this story to remember that God’s word is for all time, and that the bible says that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. So the principles that Moses was trying to teach the Children of Israel applies to us today. What impressed me about the passage is that God knew all the obstacles, battles, troubles etc… that the Israelites were going to face, and he had a plan for them to overcome them all. We are all familiar with the story. It is the same for us today. God knows every issue that we are going to face today and his plan for you to overcome is already in place. So like Moses said to the Children of Israel, I say to you … “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord’s salvation. He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians (troubles, E.A.) you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.” I share this with you because, troubles and issues can come up and literally paralyze us, and keep us from serving the Lord in our full capacity. Please don’t let this happen to you. Refer to the verse above and keep on keeping on for the Lord. Don’t let anything keep you from serving him. Stand Firm and see the Lord’s Salvation, know that he is fighting for you.

MUSIC FOR FEBRUARY 25, 2007

Great Job on “Let the Worshipers Arise” last Sunday. It went along with the message wonderfully, and I feel that we were all encouraged to rededicate ourselves to the Lord and to be on His side when everything is said and done. Thank you for singing with such conviction. This Sunday we will be singing “Evermore” in both services. Please be in the Choir room at 8:00 a.m. for the early service, and again at 10:30 a.m. for the second service. As always the dedication of your talent’s, hard work, time, and resources to this ministry just overwhelms me, I can’t even begin to express my gratitude. Just know that I am grateful. It’s all for God’s Glory!

Evette Eickelmann will sing the vocal praise in both services.

Mable Brown will play piano and Maria Counts will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.

Kathy Perry will play piano and Jean Lueken will play keyboard in the 10:45 service.

The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service only. The singers will be Linda Magruder, Christy Jones, Don Smith, and Bradley Perry
