EASTER PROGRAM
Preparations have begun for this years Easter Program “Jesus No Other King”. It’s not to late for you to be involved. Just start attending two rehearsals a month this month. This is a very powerful program and I believe you would very much enjoy being a part of it. We will rehearse the program first each week so that you can leave as soon as we are done, unless you would like to sing with us for our regular Sunday morning songs, then you can stay for the remainder of the rehearsal. Again if you love music and can carry a tune then you are more than welcome to sing with us. This is an opportunity for us to reach out to our community with the gospel message. I hope that all of you will participate.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
On Saturday March 31st at 4:00 pm. We will be participating in a community wide choir to raise money for children in need. This is a charity that our own Glenn Carter started called “Whatever It Takes”. It raises money for children in the Sullivan, Strain-Japan, and Spring Bluff school systems. It is used to meet the needs of Children by providing them with clothing, school supplies, dental and vision services etc… pretty much what ever is needed. This is our opportunity to reach out to children in need in our area, using the gifts and abilities that God has given us. I will be singing two solos and participating in the Choir, Glenn Carter’s group “Final Authority will also be participating as well as other special guests from the Sullivan area.
30 HOUR FAMINE
The Choir voted two weeks ago to sponsor a child during World Visions 30 Hour Famine that our youth group is participating in. We will sponsor at least one child or more if we collect more. $30.00 dollars will feed one child for a month. I will be passing the collection can this Sunday February 18, so please come prepared to give. This is a chance for us to reach out to starving children all over the world.
“So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.” (Galations 6:9)
