MUSIC FOR FEBRUARY 4, 2007
Thank you for the way you sang this past Sunday, it was beautiful and it blended with the theme of the service just perfectly. This Sunday we will be singing “In Christ Alone” in both services. If at all possible please plan to sing in both services. I really appreciate the extra effort that those of you put forth to sing in both services. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the early service, and again at 10:30 am for the second service.
Jack Sohn will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.
The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service only. The Praise Team singers will be Kalyn Center, Erica Turilli, Don Smith and Bradley Perry.
Choir practice will begin at 5:30 this evening.
Praise Team will be at 7:00. The singers who need to attend this rehearsal will be: Cindy Muschany, Evette Eickelmann, Kathy Perry and Bradley Perry.
EXTENDED REHEARSALS BEGIN
We will begin extending our Sunday evening rehearsals this Sunday February 4, 2007. Instead of beginning at 6:00 pm will begin 30 minutes earlier at 5:30 pm and dismiss at 7:00 pm. Please remember that if it is your night for G.R.O.W. that you will need to attend your G.R.O.W. session first and then come to Choir following, even if it means that you will be late. For all of you that are only singing in the Easter Program, we will rehearse it first and when we finish you can leave or stay for the remainder of the rehearsal as we work on our Sunday Morning music. We would appreciate the extra help.
EASTER REHEARSALS BEGIN
Rehearsals for this years Easter Program have begun. It is still not to late for you to get involved, just begin attending two rehearsals a month starting in February. I will be contacting each of you that recieve this email to find out for sure whether you are going to sing or not. You can save me the time by responding to this email. Just tell me whether or not you will be participating in this years Easter program. I want to invite you all to sing. It is always my prayer to have 100% participation. Please prayerfully consider singing in this years program.
MEMBER ACTIVITIES
It’s never been easier to see Fran Rohrer in action. On Sunday February 11 at 4:00 pm at the Sullivan Performing Arts Theater the St. Louis Metro Singers (the other Choir that Fran sings with! Ha Ha!!!) will be presenting their Valentines Pops- Songs of Love… From Broadway and the Cinema concert. Tickets will be $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for children in advance or at the door. I know Fran would love to see you at the concert.
SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT
Please make plans to adust your schedule. On February 11 at 6:00 pm Keith and Tammy Kerr (Keith is the son of Dan Kerr) will be here to tallk about their upcoming Mission Trip to Tanzania. I know you will all want to be a part of that presentation so we will cancel Choir rehearsal on that night and do a make-up rehearsal on Wednesday, February 7 at 6:00 pm. Please Mark you calendars and Make your arrangements accordingly.
