“My Heart is confident, God; I will sing; I will sing praises with the whole of my being. Wake up harp, and lyre! I will wake up the dawn. I will praise You, Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations. For Your faithful love is higher than the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. God, be exalted above the heavens; let Your glory be over the whole earth.” (Psalm 108:1-5)

LAST WEEKS MUSIC

I wasn’t there but I heard everything went great last Sunday. I really appreciate you all being faithful to attend even when I am not here. The Lord’s work will continue with or without me, and it means so much to me when everything continues as normal even in my absence, so thank you for your faithfullness. I would also like to thank our music intern, Bradley Perry for doing such a great job filling in for me, and Kathy Perry for helping out as well. You all are great! Not because I say so, but because God working in you makes you that way.

MUSIC FOR OCTOBER 29, 2006

This week the choir will sing “Sweeter As The Days Go By” in both services. I really appreciate the effort that all of you make to sing in the choir, and the extra effort it takes to sing in both services. We will meet in the choir room at 8:00 am for the early service, and again at 10:30 am for the late service.

Don Smith will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.

Jean Lueken will play the piano and Maria Counts will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.

Kathy Perry will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in the 10:45 service.

The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service only. The Praise Team singers will be Cindy Muschany, Christy Jones, Don Smith, and Bradley Perry.

Choir Rehearsal will be at 5:30 pm

Praise Team Practice will be at 7:00 pm. The singers who need to attend rehearsal this week are Linda Magruder, Evette Eickelmann, Don Smith, and Bradley Perry.
WEDNESDAY REHEARSALS BEGIN

In order to better prepare for this years Christmas Program we will be adding Wednesday rehearsals beginning on November 1. The rehearsals will begin at 6:00 pm and will last one hour. These rehearsals will be dedicated solely to the preparation of the Christmas music.
ASSOCIATIONAL RALLY FOR WORLD MISSIONS

We will be singing as part of an associational wide choir at the Associational Rally for World Missions on November 5. We have already begun rehearsing the music for this event, but if you would like to participate come to the Choir rehearsals on Sunday evenings at 5:30 between now and then, and attend the Joint rehearsal on November 5 at 5:00 pm. We are one of the largest churches in our association, and the largest church participating in the choir. Since we have sung the music before, I am counting on you to help anchor the rest of the group. Because this event happens on a Sunday evening, all other church activities will be cancelled including our rehearsal. The Rally will be held at the Sullivan Performing Arts Theater, again Choir rehearsal begins at 5:00 pm and the Rally itself begins at 6:00 pm. I will be leading the music and Jerry Rankin President of the Internation Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention will be the speaker. I hope everyone will attend.
