“Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.” (John 15:4-5)

LAST WEEKS MUSIC

You all are so great, the music Sunday was fantastic again, and it really served to lead us in Worship. The verse above serves to remind us that apart from Christ we are nothing and can do nothing, that is why it is so important to keep our focus on the one we are serving, Christ Jesus our Lord. It is so good to remember that anything good that we can do comes from our total dependence and reliance on Him. So when I say you are great it is a great compliment, because what I really mean is that because of your obedience and dependance on Him, God is working in and through you, to produce something that is bigger than all of us. We are great because God makes us that way. I would like to be able to take credit and say because of my excellent musicianship, conducting and leadership skills all of this is happening, but then we all know that none of that is true. It’s God working through you and me to accomplish these great things, and He deserves all the glory for anything good that is occurring, and am so grateful that he is using you and me to bring honor and glory to his name.

“You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you slaves anymore, because a slave doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from My Father. You did not choose Me, I chose you. I appointed you that you should go and produce fruit and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.” (John 15:14-16)
