Weekly Memory Verse: Psalm 119:104 – “I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.”
Today’s devotional is found in Psalm 19:7-8. Read through this scripture verse 3 to 4 times and meditate on what it means.
Psalm 19:7-8 – “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.”
The Word of God is perfect, trustworthy, and right. His word is without blemish or error, it is whole, it is complete, and it remains without a single flaw. There are very few things in this world that are without any flaws or problems. That is why when we buy computers, phones, iPods, cars, houses, and other things we have to also purchase an extended warranty. These things can’t be completely trusted because we know there could be errors or problems. God’s Word, however, does not come with an extended warranty, because it is perfect. We can trust in God’s Word to lead us in the right direction everytime we turn to it. If we believe in the Word of God, read it, and do what it says we will not go astray. That is a guarantee that we can depend on!
Pray and thank God for his perfect Word…
