PIANO TUNING
The Piano Tuner is coming this week to tune the Church pianos. Since he drives from Marshfield he likes to have a several pianos to tune when he comes. He will be here at the church this Thursday, August 17. If you would like to have your piano tuned you may contact Sam Casey at 417-859-6783 or email him at SamLC@aol.com to make your tuning appointment. He usually comes every six months.
SPECIAL WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
This Saturday, August 19, 2006 from 1:00-4:00 pm in the Church Fellowship Hall, two long time Choir members will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The Happy couple is Jim and Daisy Campbell. I hope you will all come and wish them well as they celebrate this special occasion.
MUSIC FOR AUGUST 20, 2006
What a fantastic wonderful job everyone did this last Sunday on the song “Sinner Saved By Grace. This week the Choir will be singing the song “At Calvary” in both services. If at all possible please sing in both services. We will meet in the Choir Room at 8:00 am.
Mable Brown will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the Keyboard in the 8:15 service.
Kathy Perry will play the piano and Jean Lueken will play the Keyboard in the 10:45 service.
Kendall Tanner will sing the vocal praise in both services.
The praise team will sing and play in the 10:45 service only. The praise team singers will be Linda Magruder-Soprano, Evette Eickelmann-Alto, Kathy Perry- Tenor, and Bradley Perry- Bass.
OPEN CHOIR REHEARSAL
This Sunday night is the Open Choir Rehearsal, open for anyone to attend. If you like excitement and adventure, Music and Worship, leading others into God’s presence, this is the ministry for you. If you have been looking for a ministry to get involved, or wanting to find a way to use those God given talents, come check out the Choir this Sunday evening August 20 at 6:00 pm. This is your opportunity to find out what the choir is all about without any pressure.
CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST
Don’t forget Christmas in August on Friday, August 25 at 7:00 pm. Bring your favorite Christmas Snack and come enjoy listening to this years Christmas program, or watch last years Christmas program, watch an old christmas movie, fellowship with one another, or do a little bit of everything. If you are interested in participating in this years Christmas program, don’t miss Christmas in August.
THE LESTERS IN CONCERT
The well known family Gospel group “The Lesters” will be here in concert on Sunday evening, August 27 at 6:00 pm. If you want to hear some great music don’t miss this concert. This is a Church wide event as well as a community wide event. Please help us out with promotion of this event by inviting your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and acquaintances to this very special event. A love offering will be taken during the concert, and we will have an ice cream fellowship following the concert. If you would like to make homemade ice cream please contact Lester Turilli at 573-927-4466.
CHRISTMAS CHOIR REHEARSAL
Christmas Choir rehearsal will begin on September 10, 2006 at 6:00 pm. If you would like to participate you will need to attend two rehearsals a month beginnning no later than October 1, 2006. Everyone is welcome to participate. Since we have to keep regular Sunday specials going we will practice the Christmas program from 6:00-6:30 and the regular Sunday morning music from 6:30-7:00. So if you are only singing in the Christmas program you can come at 6:00 and leave at 6:30, and if you are not singing in the Christmas program you may come from 6:30-7:00. Extra rehearsals will be added on an as needed basis.
