CHOIR FELLOWSHIP REPORT

We had a great relaxing time of fellowship at the Choir Fellowship that was held on July 28. The ice cream and cookies were delicious, and the company was great. Thanks to Betty Scantlan, our Social Coordinator for organizing everything, and thanks to everyone who attended.

OPEN CHOIR REHEARSAL

We have scheduled an Open Choir Rehearsal for Sunday Evening August 20, at 6:00 pm. Though really anyone is welcome to attend any of our rehearsals anytime, this will be a rehearsal geared to showing our church members what choir is all about. For Church members this will be a time that you can come check out the choir without any expectations or pressure. For inactive choir members this is a time that you can come see if anything has changed since you left, because we are always trying to make things better and easier, and prayerfully consider returning back to active status. For Choir members this will be a time that you can try to get all those people to come that you’ve always wanted to be in choir. We will talk about the Music Ministry and mission of the choir as well as rehearse and sing. I hope a lot of people will attend. It will also be at time where you can get the answers to any questions you might have. We really have tried to make it easier to be in choir. You can be a active choir member by attending only two rehearsals a month and participate in two worship services. We have also moved the rehearsal time from 7:00 to 6:00 pm and provide child care and activities from nursery age all the way up through adults during the same time to make it easier on those with children and families. We have also made it possible for anyone to be a part of our special musical presentations whether they are choir members or not just by attending two rehearsals a month, three months prior to the program they are wanting to participate in. It really is easier than ever to be a part of the Music Ministry and Choir.
