This Friday, July 28, 2006 at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the Church is our Choir fellowship. We are getting together to celebrate how the Lord has worked in us and through us as a Music/Worship ministry this past year. Anyone who has participated in the Music/Worship Ministry this past year and their families are welcome to attend. If you will be bringing your children, don’t forget to call the church office to make your child care reservation. We need to know so that we can have adequate age appropriate child care. OPEN CHOIR REHEARSAL
We will be having an open Choir Rehearsal at 6:00 pm on Sunday August 20, 2006 in the Choir Room (room 216). If you have been interested in being in the choir but just want to check it out and see what it’s like, this is the time to come, you will not be asked to make a commitment, you will not be put under any pressure, this is not a set up. This is just an opportunity for you to come and see what choir is all about. Anyone is invited, bring your friends. Activites and child care are provided for nursery all the way through adult during this time. See ya in Choir!
CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST
Christmas in August is on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. This is the time every year when we introduce the new Christmas program. Everyone is asked to bring their favorite Christmas snack and enjoy either listening to the new Christmas program, watching last years Christmas program, watching an old Christmas movie, or fellowshiping together, or some of all four. Everything will be going on at the same time, so you can pick and choose what you would like to do. If you are interested in participating in this years Christmas program this is one event you won’t want to miss.
THE LESTERS IN CONCERT
On Sunday evening August 27, 2006 at 6:00 pm the Lesters will be in concert here at Temple Baptist Church in the auditorium. The Lesters have faithfully served the Lord for three generations. Founded in 1925 by Harvey and Opal Lester, this talented family group is celebrating 80 years of continous Christian music ministry. Audiences across the United States enjoy the versatility of The Lesters music, whose style includes Southern Gospel- Contemporary Country- Soulful Black Gospel- Carpenters’ style Pop sounds- all performed with such spirit, skill and sensitivity that each concert is a heart-moving experience.
