“You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (1st Peter 1:8-9)
SINGING AND REHEARSAL SCHEDULE CORRECTIONS
This week the Choir will not sing in either service as we had previously published in your weekly emails, letters and internet postings. Since it is VBS kick off Sunday the Auditorium will already be prepared for VBS. This means the stage will be cleared and there won’t be any chairs for you sit in, so we will save the scheduled song for another date. We will also not be able to have rehearsal this evening as we had previously reported due the the Youth Mission Trip service at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium and the VBS preparations. Since the Choir room is used for classroom space during this week the teachers will need to get in there and prepare the room for VBS. I hope everyone will support our youth ministry by attending the Mission trip report service in the Auditorium during this time. Choir will resume on July 23 in both Worship services and with rehearsal at 6:00 pm.
CHOIR FELLOWSHIP
We will be having a fellowship for all Music Ministry Participants on Friday July 28 at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. We will be having an old fashioned home made Ice Cream social. During this time we will just be fellowshiping with no preset agenda, just celebrating what the Lord has done for us as a Music/Worship Ministry this past year. If you have an ice cream maker and a good recipe that you would like to make for us to enjoy, contact Betty Scantlan at 860-2860. We will also provide Child Care for this event if needed. Please contact the Church office to let us know if you are bringing your children and there ages, so that we can provide appropriate child care.
CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST
Christmas in August will be on Friday, August 25, 2006 in the fellowship hall at 6:00 pm. This is the time every year when every one brings there favorite Christmas snack and we introduce the 2006 Christmas Program. So if you think you would like to be involved this year this is the time to come and see what we will be doing. In Addition to introducing the new Christmas program, there will be an area set up where you can view last years Christmas program, or a Christmas movie, or you may just want to fellowship. You can do it all when we celebrate Christmas in August!
