The youth have arrived safely in Mobile, Alabama after 13 hours of driving.

mfugeM-Fuge is a camp by Lifeway that allows youth to be apart of some entry level mission activity. The first couple of days is devoted to MTET or training for the rest of the week. Students are split up into different mission groups: Children’s Ministry (Vacation Bible Schools, Backyard Bible Clubs, Day Camps, and other site-specific work with children), Social Ministry (mentally/physically handicapped centers, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, food banks, clothing closets, furniture distribution centers, refugee ministries, centers for teaching adults and children English as a second language (ESL), prison ministries, Baptist Centers, Salvation Army Sites, and other community organizations with like purposes), PCY (building houses, roofing, repairing, cleaning, painting, and doing yard work), Games and Rec (children’s centers or homes, apartment complexes, and boys and girls clubs; many groups minister in inner city situations where the gospel is shared through sportsmanship and Christ-like attitudes), and Creative Ministry (use the gifts and abilities of students by ministering through drama, interpretive movement, puppets, clowning, singing, and other ministry performances in nursing homes, children’s centers, residential homes, beaches, parks,
and other places where they will be able to minister creatively). I haven’t been to a bad M-Fuge.

Godstory

This year’s theme is Godstory:

Smoke, the warmth of the fire, a brisk evening breeze, s’mores and hot dogs. We love eating and telling stories by the campfire. Sometimes our stories are tall tales, sometimes they are a little more realistic. They hit a little closer to home.

Everybody’s got a story. But what is your story when it comes to your journey with God? How has your life been changed by knowing God? How are you impacting the world with your life, your story? Everybody’s got a Godstory. What’s yours?

Tomorrow students will go through training and a time of planning for their days in the mission field.
