THIS WEEKS MUSIC/WORSHIP NEWS, JULY 5, 2006

GREAT JOB CHOIR

The Patriotic Celebration was great. The Lord really blessed your hard work and dedication. Thank you for your time and effort. The message that we proclaimed in song is one that our Church, city, and nation needed to hear. Thank you for your boldness, and your witness.

CHOIR FELLOWSHIP

There will be a Choir fellowship on Friday July 28, 2006 at 7:00 pm in the fellowship hall. We will just be relaxing and fellowshiping with no preset agenda, celebrating what the Lord has done for us as a Music/Worship Ministry this past year. We will be enjoying homemade icecream. If you have an icecream maker and have a great Icecream recipe and would like to make icecream for us contact our Social Director- Betty Scantlan at 860-2860.

CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST

Christmas in August will be on August 25, 2006 in the fellowship hall. This is the time every year when every one brings there favorite Christmas snack and we introduce the 2006 Christmas Program. So if you think you would like to be involved this year this is the time to come and see what we will be doing. In Addition to introducing the new Chirstmas program there will be an area set up where you can view last years Chrismtas program, or a Christmas movie, or you may just want to fellowship. You can do it all when we celebrate Christmas in August. 

WHAT NEXT?

The next big music event will be held on August 27, 2006 at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. The Gospel group “The Lester’s” will be in concert that evening. They are celbrating 80 years of continuous Christian Music Ministry. Audiences across the United States enjoy the versatility of The Lesters music, whose style includes Southern Gospel, Contemporary Country- Soulful Black Gospel- Carpenters’ style Pop sounds- all performed with Such spirit, skill and sensitivity that each concert is a heart-moving experience. Begin now inviting your family and friends to this special event. A love offering will be taken.

July 23- Choir Rehearsal Resumes 6:00 pm

July 28- Choir Fellowship in the fellowship Hall 7:00 pm

August 25- Christmas in August 7:00 pm Fellowship Hall 

August 27- The Lesters in Concert 6:00 pm in the Auditorium
