INTRODUCING “TINY TEMPLE TUNES”
“Tiny Temple Tunes” is the name of our new preschool music program for children ages three through kindergarten. Led by Audra Aldridge this group will meet at 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings in the preshchool area. They will be learning from an interactive DVD based curriculum entitled “Hermie & Friends”. Hermie is a character made popular by christian author Max Lucado. Each session has a two to four minute video segment where Hermie the common caterpillar presents a spiritual concept or idea, an adult leader role, a song and other activities related to the spiritual concept being taught. Each session will have the same features in the same order to provide a structured, easy-to-learn experience for your preschoolers.
In addition to “Tiny Temple Tunes” for children ages three through kindergarten, the Music Ministry also offers “Extreme Kids Music and Drama” for children in first through sixth grade. Currently the Extreme Kids group is working on the V.B.S. musical ” Ramblin Road Trip” to be presented on parents night of V.B.S. this year. This Group is under the direction of Elizabeth Byrd and meets in the fellowship hall at 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings.
Teenagers grades 7 through 12 may attend the Worship Choir rehearsal or the youth discipleship class or any of the other discipleship classes being offered at 6:00 pm on Sunday evenings.
