MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, JULY 13, 2008

This is V.B.S. Kick-off Sunday, so the choir will not be singing in either service, and there will be no rehearsals due to V.B.S. preparations in the evening. I hope all of you are enjoying the long break. All rehearsals will resume on Sunday evening, July 20 at 6:00 pm for Choir and 7:00 pm for praise team.

Kendall Tanner will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.

Mable Brown will play the piano in the 8:15 service.

Kathy Perry will play the piano in the 10:45 service.

PATRIOTIC CELEBRATION

Okay everyone! I could not of dreamed that our Patriotic Celebration would have gone so well and have been so well received. I am well aware that the success of any program has little to do with me and mostly to do with the Lords’ hand of blessing as well as your commitment and dedication to this ministry. Without the Lord and you we wouldn’t be having any programs, and I wouldn’t have a job, so I’m grateful to the Lord that I get to be a part of what he is doing, and that he uses and guides me as I put a program together, and to develop the talent that he uses to present the program. I was truly blessed and I hope you were too. What a great way to end this season of Ministry, and to begin another.

MUSIC FOR SUNDAY JUNE 29, 2008

This week is our Patriotic Celebration in both services. I want to take the opportunity to thank each person who is participating in advance. We have not had to spend that much extra time preparing, in fact even if you’ve only attended one rehearsal or if you have the ability to sight read your way through you can still participate in this program. We won’t be having anymore rehearsals between now and then so let your own comfort level be your guide. This is a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY so it is very important that you participate in both services if at all possible. Please be in the choir room by 7:30 am. We will present the program at 8:15 and 10:45 am. Please wear red, white, or navy blue, any or all of these colors will be fine. Ladies wear slacks or dresses. Thanks again for being a part of this special time of worship.

Kathy Perry will play the piano and Jean Lueken will play the keyboard in both services.

The Men’s Quartet will sing the vocal praise in both services.

The Praise Team will not sing this week.

There will be no rehearsals this week due to our big program.

REHEARSAL CANCELLATIONS

We will not be having rehearsals on the evening of June 29 due to our patriotic program, or the evening of July 6 due to the holiday weekend. Rehearsals will also be cancelled on July 13, due to V.B.S preparations. Rehearsals will resume Sunday evening July 20 at 6:00 pm for the Choir and 7:00 pm for the praise team. You all have done a fantastic Job on everything this year and you deserve a nice break. I hope this will get you rested and motivated to serve after the break. I want to thank everyone who participated at all in any way this year for all of your hard work and dedication, and the time and talents that you gave and continue to give so freely in the service of our Lord.

MUSIC FOR SUNDAY JUNE 22, 2008

WOW!!!! All I can say is Wow about our services Sunday. Everything about the music was great. You sang the Choir special wonderfully, the accompanist did a fantastic Job, Sound, the Quartet, everything was great, then that was followed up with a great message, I could not have asked for it to go better. Thanks for being there. This week the Choir will sing “Manna From Heaven” in both services. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the first service and again by 10:30 for the second service. Attendance was much better Sunday thank you for the extra effort.

Christy Jones will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.

Mable Brown will play the piano and Pam Hagan will play the keyboard in the 8:15 service.

Kathy Perry will play piano and Jean Lueken will play the keyboard in 10:45 service.

Choir Practice will be at 6:00 pm.

There will be no Praise Team rehearsal due to the Fact that our patriotic celebration is on June 29.

Thanks to those of you who were able to be here Sunday for the effort that you put forth. We didn’t have enough people to sing in the early service, and we had a small group in the second service, when we did sing. Please make every effort to be here this Sunday, for Father’s Day. We want this service to be special, and it is a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY, so you will need to plan to sing in both services. We will be singing the song “I Believe It All” in both services. This is a song that we have done a few times before, so most of you will know it. Please be in the choir room by 8:00 am for the 8:15 service, and again by 10:30 for the 10:45 service. You are much appreciated.

You all did a great job leading in worship Sunday, in every way. The choir special sounded great even though we had a little mistake that no one except us seemed to notice. MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 1, 2008

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, you led us in worship fantastically this past Sunday. “Calvary’s Love” is an older song, but it has a beautiful melody and a powerful message that is so relevant for today. Thanks to everyone who came out on this holiday weekend, it helped to make our time of worship special. This Sunday we will be singing “Don’t You Wanna Go” in both services. As you know summer is a hard time for the Choir, so if you can possibly sing in both services that would help a lot, but also remember that if you are in town and in church, that you are welcome to come to choir even if you have missed a few rehearsals. Please be in the Choir room by 8:00 am for the early service and again by 10:30 am for the second service. As always, I am so grateful for you time and commitment.

Evan Aldridge will sing the Vocal Praise in both services.

Mable Brown will play the piano and Virgie McGill will play the keyboard in both services.

The Praise Team will sing in the 10:45 service, but since four out of the four people scheduled to sing are out of town on the mission trip, and we aren’t rehearsing anyway, I will select the singers from the praise team members that are here Sunday Morning.

Solo Assignments for the Patriotic Service will be between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. If you can’t be here at this time let me know so I can get a time scheduled that is convenient for you.

Choir rehearsal will be at 6:00 pm.

Praise Team rehearsal will be at 7:00 pm with Sharon Doyle, Nancy Logan, Rick Matthiesen in attendance.

I think you know the drill, but just in case: Please be in the Choir room at 8:00 am if you are going to participate in the early service, and again at 10:30 for the 10:45 service. Also remember that attendance is usually low in the summer, so please if you are in town and at church come sing with us.

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and it is also a BIG MUSIC SUNDAY, which means that EVERYONE SINGS IN BOTH SERVICES. To help make this day special for the Women and Mothers that will be with us on Sunday I need all of you to sing in both services. We will be singing the song “You Call Me Yours” from the Easter program, so a lot of people know it. If you sang in the Easter program please come and sing with us. Please be in the choir room by 8:00 am for the early service and again at 10:30 for the 10:45 service. If you haven’t been to choir in a while and need to refresh the song in your memory we will be having choir rehearsal tomorrow evening, Wednesday May 7 at 6:00 pm. Looking forward to a great day of worship and celebration with you on Sunday.

The Ladies Trio 2 will be singing the Vocal Praise in both services.

The way you’ve been leading in worship has just been phenomenal, proof that when we submit to the Lord and His leadership, we can do things that we would not be able to do otherwise. What a great time of worship we had this past Sunday. I thought all the music was just great, and the choir special was no exception. According to the Bible, children are a blessing from God. When you dedicate your child you are acknowledging the awesome responsibility God has given you in raising your child. A baby dedication is a ceremony that expresses your desire as parents to raise your child in the ways of the Bible and to ask God to use our son or daughter for his purposes.
