MESSAGE FROM THE MUSIC MINISTER

I’m back! Thanks for allowing me the time off. I am so grateful to all of you for keeping things going while I was gone. Thank you choir and Praise Team for being faithful to attend worship and rehearsals in my absence, I’ve heard great things about your singing. Thank you Kathy Perry and Fran Rohrer for Conducting Choir rehearsal while I was away, and to Craig Tanner and Bradley Perry for leading in Worship, also Kendall Tanner Made sure that all the Music folders were prepared each week. Again thanks to everyone.

FATHER’S DAY (LADIES) CHORUS

We are currently preparing for two special events. The first is “Fathers Day”. The ladies of the Choir and congregation will be teaming together to form a ladies Chorus to help honor the Men and Father’s in our Church. Any female can be a part of this Chorus. Rehearsals for the “Father’s Day Chorus” are as follows

Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at 6:30 pm in the Choir Room

Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 5:30 pm in the Choir Room

Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 6:30 pm in the Choir Room

We will sing in both services on “Father’s Day, Sunday, June 18, 2006. You will be dismissed imediately after we sing in each service so that you can sit with your families. You will need to be in the Choir Room by 8:00 am on June 18. Please come help honor the men and the Father’s of our congregation by participating in this special Chorus.

PATRIOTIC PROGRAM

The second event we are preparing for will be the annual Patriotic Program. This year the program will be held in both the 8:15 and 10:45 services on July 2, 2006. Rehearsals for the program are on Sunday Evenings at 6:00 pm, exept for rehearsal on June 25, 2006 will begin at 5:30 and the dress rehearsal will be Wednesday June 28, 2006 at 7:00 pm. It’s not to late to get involved. We are just now really getting into the preparations, and there are still solo opportunities available. Just start coming to rehearsals and you can be a part of this special program.

MUSIC FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 11, 2006

This Sunday the Choir will be singing “Be Unto Your Name” from “The Worship Leading Choir” book in both services. Please plan on singing in both services and be in the Choir room at 8:00 am.

Mable Brown will play the Piano, and Virgie McGill will play the Keyboard in both services.

Mike Delashmit will be bringing the Vocal Praise in both services this week.

The Praise Team will sing and play in the 10:45 service only.

MUSIC COMMITTEE MEETING

There will be a “Music Committee” Meeting on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 6:00 pm. Your “Music Committee” members are Nancy Logan, Kelly Browning, Kathy Perry, Mike Delashmit and Kermit Brown. Music Committee please mark your calendars.
